BharatBenz
The BharatBenz truck brand is produced by Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV). BharatBenz trucks are based on the technical expertise of Daimler Trucks and are produced specifically for the Indian market.
Technological innovations in India
BharatBenz's models tailored to the subcontinent's market meet diverse requirements in the transport and construction sectors.
To date, the medium-duty BharatBenz trucks cover the weight categories from nine to twelve tonnes, while the heavy-duty trucks span the range from 25 to 31 tonnes. Ongoing expansion of the portfolio is to continue until 2014.
All-rounders designed to meet the challenges of the subcontinent
The BharatBenz models are ideally suited to the country's climatic and economic conditions. The heavy-duty trucks and tippers are deployed in many areas, for example:
  • distribution and goods transport
  • as refrigerator vehicles in the food sector
  • the construction industry
  • other industrial and commercial applications
The defining features of BharatBenz trucks are:
  • Greater efficiency – precisely coordinated quantities of petrol are supplied under high pressure. This results in reduced fuel consumption.
  • Enhanced performance – higher torque provides for optimised power output.
  • High reliability – with test drives covering 5.5 million kilometres completed prior to series production, BharatBenz stands for a high standard of quality and economic efficiency.
  • Environment-friendliness – the BharatBenz models comply with the Indian emissions standard Bharat Stage 3 and are already equipped to meet the next-highest stage.
