Where the lecture theater meets the workplace: Welcome to dual study with Daimler.
Structure of the dual study program
From campus to company and back again Daimler's three-year Bachelor's degree program is split into six semesters, each of which comprises three months of theory and three months of work experience. The course is highly practical: you'll gain first-hand experience of different areas of the company. You'll even have the opportunity to go abroad, although the theory part of the course will be taught in Germany, mainly at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. Lectures take place in small groups of around 30 students, offering optimal learning conditions and direct contact with the professors. And the security of a regular salary will give you even more room to spread your wings.
Study here and learn for life Depending on the course, lectures take place either at one of the nine DHBW locations or one of the three other campuses in Baden-Württemberg. DHBW was the first dual-education, practice-oriented university in Germany. Opened on March 1,2009, it continues the proud 40-year history of dual education first begun by the former Berufsakademie Baden-Württemberg.
With around 34,000 students, DHBW is currently the largest university in Baden-Württemberg.
Do well here and the world's your oyster. After studying, it can often be difficult to get a foot in the door. So it helps if your foot is already there. Because if, after you've completed your studies, you are already familiar with Daimler's major business areas and sites, both in Germany and worldwide, then you're already well placed for a successful career with us. And because at Daimler we are interested in developing not just new technologies, but people as well, after one year with us you'll be able to apply for a Master's degree course as part of the Daimler Academic Program. Alternatively, you'll be eligible for time off to pursue a Master's at a later date. So either way, your learning will continue well after you've joined the company.
