The transport of people and goods plays an important role in our globally networked economy, providing a platform for the growth and prosperity of every society. Freight traffic is increasing year on year and the flexibility of road transport, in particular, is leading to high growth rates. Experts predict an average 2.5 percent increase in global transport by 2030. This would mean a doubling of transport volumes over the year 2000.
"CleanDrive Technologies: With efficient, clean drive systems and alternative fuels we are on the way to the emission-free commercial vehicle."

Climate change – CO2.
According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), transport as a whole (air, road, rail, sea) accounts for roughly 13 percent of  “anthropogenous” (man-made) CO2 emissions. Commercial vehicles are responsible for around 3.5 percent of this figure.
