With the near-series Concept BlueZERO, Mercedes-Benz is showing the way ahead toward environment-friendly electromobility. Its modular construction enables three electric drive concepts, which make use of different energy sources, to be implemented in the sandwich floor used in the A and B-Class. All three models feature a compact electric motor with a continuous output of 70 kW and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. They can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in eleven seconds. To achieve optimum range and energy efficiency, the maximum speed is limited to 150 km/h. Despite their compact external dimensions, they still have room for five full-size seats, a luggage compartment of more than 500 liters and a payload of 450 kg. On balance, an ideal car for embarking on the road to sustainable mobility.
