@yourCOMAND
The cloud-based telematic strategy @yourCOMAND from the F 125! research vehicle provides a preview of the Mercedes-Benz infotainment systems of the future.
Authorised persons can access information, such as fuel level, next service date or fuel consumption via the vehicle’s own homepage at any time. Similarly, the navigation or entertainment system or the desired temperature for each seat can be preset via a PC or smartphone. It also increases vehicle security: for example, if the doors or boot of the parked vehicle are opened, marked objects are removed from the interior or the vehicle is moved, the driver receives an immediate alert on his smartphone.
The permanent connection with the cloud for seamless networking of the multimedia systems gives the driver easy in-car access to all his media. This is mainly operated via voice-recognition and is supplemented intuitively by gestures and contact, for example to call up an individual traffic report or personal news before the requested music programme starts.
The driver can compile the relevant information as required using an autostereoscopic 3D display to represent the functions of the instrument cluster spatially. The head unit in the upper area of the centre console uses projection technology and is operated via a touchpad. A high-resolution widescreen display in the position of the rear-view mirror replaces the conventional mirror and enables a more intuitive view of the entire traffic space behind the vehicle.
