The "Charta of Diversity"
Diversity is a business success factor. Companies and public institutions benefit from a business culture encouraging all talents of their staff. The Charta of Diversity is an elementary commitment to economical benefit of diversity as well as tolerance, fairness and appreciation in companies and public institutions. The Daimler Group jointly founded and first signed this initiative along with Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom and Deutsche BP.
Diversity calls for collaboration and communication across companies. As of November 2007, 131 companies and public institutions have joined the Charta circle representing 1.1 million employees. By the end of 2007 an estimated number of 180 companies will have signed the Charta with 1.5 million employees. (information by public relations vielfalt-als-chance.de)
