By 2012 Daimler will have installed 569 company-own spots for under-threes in day care centers at all 14 of the Group´s German plants. In this way, Daimler is setting new standards in early childhood education.
It is the Group’s intention to make it easier for employees to combine and balance their professional and family lives, and to offer children an educational program that lives up to international standards. The highly flexible childcare options offered at the sternchen day care centers makes it easier for our employees to return to work before the regular parental leave of three years ends. At the same time it increases women’s chances for career advancement and improves the percentage of females in Group’s workforce – in technical and managerial positions.
The conceptual base for all sternchen day care centers is a scientifically accompanied pedagogical quality concept which is in line with international standards.
