Employee satisfaction
In 2007, Daimler will again measure employee satisfaction worldwide by conducting a uniform survey, the “Employee Commitment Index.” This index will provide the individual divisions with a differentiated profile of their employees’ levels of satisfaction. It will also give the members of top management an overview of the situation in all of the Group’s divisions and regions.
The Board of Management has decided that each business unit should use the survey results to consider what measures it should be taking and to design and implement appropriate improvement programs. Using the divisional scorecards and the goal agreement processes derived from them, the effectiveness of the initiatives and measures will be recorded, controlled and documented. The second worldwide survey to determine the ECI, which will be carried out in fall 2007, will make it possible to monitor the success rate of the measures introduced.
