Mercedes-Benz Museum: Motorsport safety: special exhibition “Safety Cars”
The "Safety Cars" special exhibition launches on 1 December 2015 at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The exhibition in Collections Hall 5 honours the unique story of the Mercedes-Benz Safety Car. The brand has been providing all of these special vehicles in Formula 1 since 1996.

Prestigious award for the Mercedes-Benz Museum: Museum wins "International Historic Motoring Award"
The classic automotive world honours the Mercedes-Benz Museum: shortly before its tenth birthday the Mercedes-Benz Museum has received the prestigious "International Historic Motoring Award 2015" in the "Museum or Collection of the Year" category. The prize has been awarded since 2011 by an international jury for outstanding service in the classic automotive world.

The Mercedes-Benz Museum is now selling classic cars from all periods under the name All Time Stars. The complete range can be seen on the website alltime-stars.com. You can also view the vehicles in person at the Mercedes-Benz Museum and arrange the purchase there too. A team of sales consultants are on hand to provide detailed information and extensive descriptions of the vehicles in order to offer as much transparency as possible.

Genuine spare parts: bevel gears and crown wheels for W 198 rear axles: Again available: rear-axle ratios for the 300 SL
The bevel gears and crown wheels of all rear-axle ratios for the 300 SL (W 198) are again available as genuine spare parts. Thanks to a costly reproduction process, Mercedes-Benz Classic is now able once again to offer some gear ratios that have not been available for several decades. This allows the famous "Gullwing" and Roadster to be restored with utmost authenticity.

Michael Bock hands over management to Christian Boucke
Change of leadership after almost 10 successful years: With effect from 1 December, Michael Bock, Director of Mercedes-Benz Classic and Customer Centre, will take over the management of Sport and Lifestyle Marketing at Mercedes-Benz. Bock will be succeeded by Christian Boucke, the previous Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH.

ADAC Westfalen Trophy 2015 at the Nürburgring: Ellen Lohr to compete in Youngtimer Trophy at the wheel of the 190 E 2.5-16 "Evo II"
Grand appearance in the Eifel: driving the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II works racing car, Ellen Lohr will compete in the Westfalen Trophy at the Nürburgring on 24 and 25 October 2015. The "Evo II" made its racing debut 25 years ago at the 24 Hours Race in what was then the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) on the North Loop of the Nürburgring.

The history of the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
In the 1950s, a very special star rose in Stuttgart: the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class was born. It all began with motor racing sports. With its successes in international competitions, in 1952 the 300 SL competition sports car (W 194 series, “SL” stands for “Super-Light”), became the initial spark for the start of two fascinating production sports cars – the “Gullwing” coupé and the roadster: the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL and 190 SL laid the foundation for the tradition of this legendary sports car family in the year 1954.
