In future, when customers visit the Mercedes-Benz Bus and Coach Unit of EvoBus GmbH, they will be welcomed in an attractive setting and will find an enhanced service offering awaiting them. Work has just been completed on building a new Bus and Coach Delivery Centre on the site, at a total investment cost of DM 9 million. With immediate effect, customers can now collect their new vehicles under one roof - with short distances involved and minimal time expenditure being the benefits, ensuring that Mercedes-Benz customers receive the best possible service when taking delivery of their new buses and coaches, and that they can collect their vehicles in pleasant surroundings. From now on, collecting a bus or coach direct from the Mannheim facility will be a very special experience.
Incorporating large areas of glass in its design, the light and cheerful building offers a total of twelve bus and coach parking spaces on an overall surface area of 2760 m² for buses and coaches awaiting collection. This includes a separate area for special presentations and events, etc. In addition, the new Bus and Coach Delivery Centre comprises an administrative area for the completion and handing over to customers of the necessary paperwork, as well as the new Carl Benz Lounge which provides customers with a pleasant spot for refreshments and snacks before they take delivery of their new vehicles.
With its appealing industrial architecture, the new Bus and Coach Delivery Centre makes a clear statement for the investment made by EvoBus GmbH in upgrading the Mannheim facility and aligning it with future requirements. In the adjacent administration complex, staff from the bus and coach delivery and marketing departments will now be able to offer enhanced quality of customer service and order processing, providing customers with an all-round and attractive one-stop service: the Carl Benz Lounge is a reception area offering hospitality where the paperwork involved in bus and coach delivery can be taken care of in a pleasant setting. The documents for the new vehicle being collected are issued on the spot and handed directly to the customer. The customer can then leave the site with his new Mercedes-Benz bus or coach via a purpose-built exit, offering convenience away from all other site traffic.
The new Bus and Coach Delivery Centre provides comprehensive facilities for customer support, further enhancing customer satisfaction.
