Daimler AG bus brand voted "Coach of the Year" for third time in Great Britain
Trade magazine "Busfahrer" presents Setra "Best Bus" award
ComfortClass chosen as champion in Bosnia
Stuttgart. The brand Setra Omnibus is the proud winner of another trophy by being awarded its third successive title as "Coach of the Year". The prize was presented for the Setra ComfortClass S 416 GT-HD during the "UK Coach Awards" in Manchester. Its nomination was based on the large number of customer votes which praised in particular its great comfort and quiet running qualities.
Since it was launched on the market in 2005, more than 220 of the 13.02 metre long
S 416GT-HD coach have been sold in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
The Setra ComfortClass combines up-market luxury with attractive cost-effective running. As early as 2003, the Daimler AG brand brought out its innovative length concept with raised floor and high deck buses for excursions, long distance coach trips or scheduled services. After the regulation limiting coaches to a length of 12 metres had been dropped, Setra made the most of the opportunity at that time to provide appreciably more room in the interior of the coach as well as in the front entrance area.
S 415 GT-HD voted as "Best Bus" by German readers
A few weeks ago, Setra received the trophy "Best Bus" from "Busfahrer" editor Sascha Böhnke in the reader’s choice category for long-distance coaches. More than 1,000 drivers took part in the reader’s choice event of the Munich trade journal and voted for the Setra ComfortClass S 416 GT-HD as winner. The readers had to use their votes to decide on the criteria laid down by the editorial department: appearance, design, attractivity, innovation, safety features, workmanship, driver’s workplace, handling, driving qualities, passenger comfort as well as driver visibility both outside and inside.
ComfortClass "Coach of the Year" in Bosnia
In Sarajevo, Setra also won the award "Coach of the Year 2010" for the S 415 GT-HD. It was the third title the brand has received in Bosnia in four years.
Lothar Holder, Director of Sales and Distribution for Setra Omnibuses, EvoBus GmbH, sees these awards as clear proof of the brand’s international recognition in its 60th jubilee year. "These awards show that we are using the right approach to establish and consolidate the up-market value of our vehicles all over Europe."
