Mercedes-Benz Style and Lufthansa Technik develop VIP cabin for short- and medium-haul aircraft: State-of-the-art luxury high above the clouds
In time for EBACE 2015, which will take place from 19 to 21 May 2015 in Geneva, Mercedes-Benz Style and Lufthansa Technik have announced their cooperation on the design and completion of VIP aircraft cabins. The two companies will jointly develop an entirely innovative, luxurious and integrated cabin concept for short- and medium-haul aircraft.

This summer, when the long-awaited next installment of the groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World, arrives in theaters, an entire fleet of Mercedes-Benz vehicles will share the spotlight. Alongside the iconic G-Class, Unimog, Sprinter models and the all-new GLE Coupé will play a leading role in the epic action-adventure. AMG Customer Sports in the 2015 season: Mercedes-AMG with a large fan base at the Nürburgring 24h race
No less than eight SLS AMG GT3s, run by six different AMG Customer Sport Teams, will be competing in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (May 14-17, 2015). This year, however, fans will also be able to get a first-hand experience of the fascination of Mercedes-AMG off the track. At an area of 1,500 square metres, the AMG Experience provides a varied programme of activities for the first time. It is also a spectacular port of call for all spectators.

Triple-digit millions of euros invested: Mercedes-Benz holds topping-out ceremony for the world's most advanced crash test facility
Milestone reached: construction having begun in July 2013, some 350 guests were today present at the topping-out ceremony for the world's most advanced crash test facility. The new test centre measures 270 by 170 metres with an internal, pillarless test arena – the heart of the crash facility – measuring 90 by 90 metres to allow even complex junction/pre-accident situations to be recreated in future. Consequently, the area of the test arena is considerably larger than a normal football pitch.

Mercedes-Benz has been setting new sales records month for month for more than two years. In April, the brand with the star posted a new opening record for the second quarter: Overall, 148,072 customers picked up their new Mercedes-Benz (+11.3%).

Germany's first hydrogen filling station on the autobahn opens
As part of the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP), Daimler, Linde and TOTAL have jointly taken an important step forward in the expansion of Germany’s hydrogen (H2) infrastructure. In the presence of Dorothee Bär, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Germany's first motorway hydrogen filling station was officially inaugurated today.

All Mercedes-Benz G-Class models will in future offer up to 16 percent more power and lower fuel consumption. The range includes the G 500 with a new, powerful 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine. All engines are compliant with the latest Euro 6 emissions standard. A new suspension setup, together with more sensitive ESP® control results in increased driving stability, safety and road comfort. The exterior and interior have also been given an upgrade. At the same time, an exclusive AMG special edition will be available.

ESP® has been mandatory for new passenger cars in Europe since November 2011.

Strategic hybrid initiative from Mercedes-Benz: Ten new plug-in hybrids by 2017
Extra impetus for the Mercedes-Benz strategic hybrid initiative: In the run-up to 2017 the company is bringing out a total of ten plug-in hybrid models, i.e. one new model with high-tech hybrid drive every four months on average. Following the successful launch of the S 500 PLUG-IN HYBRID, this month will see the C 350 e, the second model to feature the progressive drive concept, find its way to dealerships. And what might happen next with the strategic hybrid initiative has just been demonstrated by the Concept V-ision e study at the Geneva Motor Show. Under the new Mercedes-Benz nomenclature, an "e" replaces the words PLUG-IN HYBRID.

The new smart fortwo & forfour: Adding a new shine to a proven concept
The revolution enters the next round – the smart fortwo has undergone improvements in virtually all areas and is markedly more comfortable. The hallmark smart rear engine concept is being offered for the first time in the four-seater smart forfour as well. Drive power is supplied by state-of-the-art three-cylinder engines rated at 45 kW/60 hp, 52 kW/71 hp and 66 kW/90 hp, while power transmission is performed by a five-speed manual transmission or the twinamic dual clutch transmission.
