Daimler intends to change its equity interest in Rolls-Royce Power Systems
Daimler AG (ticker symbol DAI) is to sell its 50-percent equity interest in the joint venture Rolls-Royce Power Systems Holding Ltd. (RRPSH) to its partner Rolls-Royce plc. Daimler is making use of a put option on its stake in RRPSH that was agreed upon with Rolls-Royce in 2011. The Board of Management of Daimler AG has passed the required resolutions. In the course of the transaction, Daimler expects a significant cash inflow. According to the procedure agreed upon with Rolls-Royce the financial terms of the transaction will be finally determined in the upcoming months.

With Predictive Powertrain Control being introduced in 2014, Daimler Buses is taking a further step towards improving economy while at the same time reducing the burden on the driver. The "predictive" cruise control system is familiar with the topography of the road ahead and thereby avoids the systemic weaknesses associated with an automatic speed control regulator.
Mercedes-Benz Citaro: 1000th Mercedes-Benz Citaro featuring Euro VI is delivered
Almost in parallel with the statutory deadline for the introduction of the Euro VI emissions standard at the start of 2014, today Mercedes-Benz is already handing over its 1000th Citaro model featuring Euro VI exhaust gas technology to a customer. Ralf Steinmetz, Director of transport company HEAG mobiBus in Darmstadt, took delivery of the urban bus from Ulrich Piotrowski, Head of Sales of the Mercedes-Benz Bus and Coach unit, Region West, at the New Bus & Coach Vehicle Center (ONC) in Mannheim.
Arocs BIG ROCK in towing and recovery service: Rock-solid wrecker: Mercedes-Benz Arocs as a recovery and towing vehicle
The most cutting-edge recovery and towing vehicle in Switzerland for trucks, buses and camper vans recently entered into service in the guise of the Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4451 'BIG ROCK'. The official Mercedes-Benz agency LARAG Fahrzeugwerke AG in Wil is deploying the special-purpose vehicle to provide professional breakdown and accident assistance in the heavy-duty range, as well as for carrying out vehicle transfers. The Arocs concerned is a 375 kW (510 hp) four-axle vehicle. "The new BIG ROCK recovery and towing vehicle is the perfect addition to our fleet to round off our service offering," says operations manager Walter Oertli from LARAG AG.
