Our AI-Community Internal networking and information exchange

With more than 3,000 members, our internal AI community offers a marketplace to exchange ideas, to network and to collaborate. Made for experts and those on their way to become one.

The internal AI Community was established in the "Daimler Social Intranet" one-and-a-half years ago. The aim was to give experts and those interested in AI at Daimler the opportunity to get to know each other, share information, and discuss specialist issues. The Community has now grown to over 3,000 active members! It also provides information on what initiatives are currently ongoing at Daimler, what internal, subject-specific training opportunities are available, and what interesting events are planned. This also makes the Community one of the first ports of call for AI enthusiasts. It also benefits beginners: The "AI starter kit", for example, offers a video tutorial featuring multiple brief commercials that explain the fundamentals of how machine learning works and how the technology is used at Daimler.

The Community also organizes face-to-face meetings run by and for interested parties. Many Daimler locations around the world offer "AI get-togethers", where ideas and best practices for ongoing projects in all of Daimler's divisions can be discussed. Other affected units also meet for internal dialog. The "Data Science Experience Meetup" provides a platform for direct communication between all data scientists at Daimler in order to exploit the full internal potential of artificial intelligence and data science. The "AI Community of Practice" brings all of Daimler's IT units together in order to ensure that they coordinate with respect to current methods and strategies. Last but not least, regular lunches in certain company canteens offer an informal opportunity to talk to colleagues working on AI issues at each location.
