Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Truck Plant is producing trucks and tow trucks in the Central Anatolian region for more than 30 years.
Since 1986 more than 270,000 trucks have been manufactured at the plant and sold primarily in the domestic market. Mercedes-Benz Türk keeps its leading position in the domestic truck market over 6 tons thanks to its state-of-the-art products for more than 10 years. Aksaray Truck Plant, planning to double its capacity with an investment of € 113 million until 2018, has completely renewed its product range with customer expectations, market requirements and evolving technology in 2016.
The biggest capital of Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Truck Plant is its qualified and highly motivated employees. Employing more than 1.900 people Aksaray Truck Plant’s production includes: heavy duty trucks, semitrailer tractors and construction trucks. The Aksaray Plant currently has a covered area of 140.000 m² built on a total of 690.000 m² of land.
The quality of the product is secured with the body line, equipped with modern welding robots in the factory, the cataphoresis and painting facility providing effective protection against rusting in the produced devices and the Quality Center which contains the latest equipment and measuring laboratories.
Ergonomic working conditions are provided with zero error principle in assembly with the laser marking facility which enables millimetric assembly of the trucks, the transverse working frame band and the assembly line where electronical nutrunners are used. Trucks that have been assembled are simulated on real road conditions, tested for a last time and delivered to the Customer Center.
Apart from production bases, there is also an administration building, a quality center, a training center, a customer center, a trial workshop, a business development workshop, warehouses, a customs clearance area, a waste collection area, a dining hall, social areas and a communication center with a sports facility and a cafeteria.
Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Plant has been exporting vehicles to Central & East European countries since 2001.
Shortly after starting to export to Central and Eastern European countries in 2001, Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Plant exported trucks to more than 70 countries heading to Western European markets. In 2016, the plant exported 4,690 trucks and broke the historic export record and increased the total export figure to 37,000 units.
In May 2017, the 2nd R&D Center of Mercedes-Benz Türk established within Aksaray Truck Plant with an additional investment of 8.4 million euros. The engineers will be exporting their engineering services to Daimler AG through this center. Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Truck Plant, which is the largest industrial company in this territory has invested 414 million Euros so far, continues its contribution to the economic development of Turkey with new investments and employment.
