At the MBRDNA Long Beach Campus, more than 120 people are working on connected vehicle features, benchmarking, field and engine testing. With state of the art automotive R&D vehicle test cells, workshops and labs, on-site cafeteria and a fitness area the campus is located only a short drive away from the Vehicle Preparation Center in Long Beach, across from the Long Beach airport in the Los Angeles area.
All Telematics Testing for North America is done based out of this office as well as the built of the Mercedes Me Connect App. Other business functions include Powertrain and E-Drive as well as Onboard Diagnostics Development. One of the groups focuses on Durability testing for vehicles on the US ground while another group performs Vehicle Emissions Testing.
