Safety Information for Our Visitors!

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Rastatt is the lead plant in the compact vehicle global production network. Other production plants in the network include a Hungarian plant in Kecskemét, a Chinese production site BBAC in Beijing, a joint venture production plant COMPAS in Mexico an a French plant in Hambach.

In 2019, the A- and B-Class as well as the GLA were produced at the production plant. There, the first Mercedes-Benz A-Class rolled off the assembly line in 1997 and began the success story of Mercedes-Benz compact cars.

The new A-Class Sedan launched in Rastatt in 2019. In 2019, the five-millionth “Made in Rastatt” Mercedes-Benz compact car since the 1997 production launch rolled off the assembly line there.

The plant is the largest industrial employer in the region. In future, compact electric vehicles from product and technology brand EQ will also roll off of the plant’s assembly line.

Right next to the plant is the Mercedes-Benz Rastatt Customer Centre. Every day, around 250 vehicles are picked up there.

Customers can try out the Mercedes-Benz GLA’s off-road capabilities and driver assistance systems at the "A-Rock" driving experience course with an event area, right next to the factory. The site additionally offers space for open-air events and can accommodate up to 7,000 visitors.

Mercedes-Benz AG is one of the largest manufacturers of premium passenger cars. In 2019 it sold nearly 2.4 million cars and more than 438,000 vans. In its two business divisions, Mercedes-Benz AG is continually expanding its worldwide production network with over 40 production sites on four continents, while aligning itself to meet the requirements of electric mobility. At the same time, the company is developing its global battery production network on three continents.

Sustainable actions play a decisive role in both business divisions.
