Bader M. Al Saad was born on January 4, 1958 in Kuwait. He is a graduate of Kuwait University with a major in Accounting.
He is a member of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of the Board of the Kuwait Investment Authority since 2003. He was the former Managing Director of KIA from December 2003 until April 2017.
Bader M. Al Saad has extensive experience in investments and financial sector for the past 35 years. He also was the Managing Director of one of the leading investment company in Kuwait, The Kuwait Financial Center (“Markaz”). Furthermore, he has extensive experience in various positions at the Bank of Kuwait and the Middle East (“BKME”).
He served in different Boards of Directors, both domestic and international companies, and was a member of various professional organizations and committees, as well as was a member of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
Bader M. Al Saad is a member of the following further legally mandatory supervisory boards and comparable supervisory bodies:

He is also a member of the Global Advisory Council of Bank of America and a founding member of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) and was its Chairman and Deputy Chairman from its inception in 2009 until October 2015.
