Bader M. Al Saad was born on January 4, 1958 in Kuwait. He is a graduate of Kuwait University with a major in Accounting.
Bader M. Al Saad has been a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Board of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) since 2003. He was the former Managing Director of the KIA from December 2003 until April 2017.
Mr. Al Saad has had extensive experience in the investments and financial sector for the past 35 years. Mr. Al Saad was also the CEO of one of the leading investment companies in Kuwait, The Kuwait Financial Center (Markaz). Furthermore, he has extensive experience in various positions at the Bank of Kuwait and the Middle East (currently Al Ahli United Bank).
Mr. Al Saad has served in different Boards of Directors of both domestic and international companies, and was a member of various professional organizations and committees, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). Since September 2020 he is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development (The Arab Fund).
