Another great cycle of hackathons from our DigitalLife Campus series has come to an end. And what a series it has been! 5 Hackathons spanning across 3 countries and participants from more than 10 nations. Starting off in September 2017 at the world’s largest automobile show, the IAA in Frankfurt, we conducted Hackathons in Singapore, twice in Berlin and concluded our series in Bangalore in February 2018.
At the TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon in Berlin where the winning team was awarded with a cash prize of $5,000, we were the partner sponsor. In Singapore, we hosted the hackathon together with Startup Autobahn, a startup accelerator program powered by Mercedes-Benz. At Hack.IAA in Frankfurt our participants developed their ideas and prototypes in the middle of the world’s biggest automobile show and finally got to present their concepts in front of hundreds of people, including Daimler top management and Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador and chief evangelist Guy Kawasaki.
4 years from now barcelona – a stage for new ideas
The winning teams of our hackathon series were invited to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. DigitalLife Campus hosted an own market booth at 4YFN which is a startup fair running in parallel to the Mobile World Congress Barcelona. The hackathon winning teams showcased their ideas and got the chance to gather feedback from potential customers and industry experts.
