The digital transformation is changing the way we work together — in other words, our corporate culture. #change generates momentum for a changed mindset at the Group. Its objective is to get all of our employees involved in the transformation process.
We are preparing employees throughout the Group for technical and cultural change and promoting lifelong learning. For this purpose, the team from #change has developed creative formats for teaching knowledge and know-how related to digital issues. During our DigitalLife Tour we go into the plants and present current technological applications at our production locations so that employees can touch them and try them out.
At Fail’n’Learn Nights, managers report on projects that didn’t run very well at some point — and what they’ve learned from the experience. In this way we are promoting a culture of learning from our mistakes within the Group. Our most important in-house event series, the DigitalLife Days, features in-house and external speakers and market stands focusing on the latest innovations. Every year, these events inspire thousands of employees from all units of the company.
And they generate lasting enthusiasm for themes related to digitalization and work culture — at the national level during the DigitalLife Days in Germany and also at our international locations. For example, the DigitalLife Day India was attended by more than 3,500 employees of Mercedes-Benz Research & Development from Bangalore.
At our external events as well, we always strongly emphasize an innovative and digital environment. We are pioneers when it comes to the staging of new international tech-related and digital events (e.g. the Mobile World Congress Barcelona and Tech Open Air Berlin). Through these events we position the Group as a leading company in the area of digitalization and come into contact with new target groups.
