In spite of all the enthusiasm about new technologies, it was clear early on that what every change needs most of all is people who support it and drive it forward. DigitalLife@Daimler is an initiative that was launched in 2011 for exactly that reason. It brings together all the aspects of the digital transformation. Its objective is to enable everyone to experience the new changes — and thus strengthen the Group as a whole.
DigitalLife@Daimler aims to optimally take advantage of the opportunity provided by the digital transformation for the great and time-honored Daimler Group. In order to do that, we need good ideas and new formats for cooperation. In other words, the important things are WHAT is done and, most of all, HOW it is done.
Here’s a brief summary of the “mission” of DigitalLife@Daimler: DigitalLife brings together ideas and people, makes innovations visible, and drives their implementation forward. It does this in ways that are international, interdisciplinary, and outside all organizational structures.
The focus is on four pillars: strategy (#transform), innovation culture (#ideate), employee connectivity (#collaborate), and corporate culture (#change) — always with a focus on people.
