Annual Meeting 2020

April 30, 2020 - The Annual General Meeting of Daimler AG will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, only virtually without the possibility of personal participation of shareholders or their proxies.

The health of shareholders and employees as well as of service providers and guests involved in a physical face-to-face event have top priority for the company. Against the background of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the company has therefore decided to make use of the possibilities of the “Act on Measures under Company, Cooperative, Association, Foundation and Property Ownership Law to combat the effects of the COVID-19-Pandemic (COVID-19-Act)” and to hold the annual meeting without physical presence of the shareholders or their proxies purely virtually.

Voting rights can be exercised via electronic communication and granting power of attorney. The entire Annual Meeting will be webcast live on the Internet in visual and audio form for registered shareholders. With the new invitation and agenda, Daimler will inform shareholders in good time about the details of the virtual annual meeting.

Already on March 13, 2020, Daimler AG had canceled the company's Annual Meeting, originally announced for April 1, 2020. The decision was taken against the background of the worldwide spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). The Annual Meeting was postponed to a later date in 2020. All registrations, admission ticket orders, powers of attorney, voting instructions, absentee votes, as well as countermotions or election proposals, which had already been submitted for the original date of the Annual Meeting, have thus become invalid. This inevitably lead to corresponding postponement of the resolution on profit appropriation and of dividend payment, which therefore could not occur on April 6, 2020.
