Oxygen for Life Arche offers a home for kids requiring permanent ventilation

Daimler ProCent is donating 5,610 euros toward the procurement of a height-adjustable intensive care bed for the children of Arche IntensivKinder near Tübingen.

The facility is home to children requiring permanent ventilation due to serious illness, accidents or operations. The intensive medical care they require makes it impossible for them to live at home with their families. The patients are offered a loving home and the opportunity to grow up with other children.

The concept is based on a holistic perspective that takes each child's individual capabilities into account and allows them to live largely autonomously despite their severe limitations.

Arche is currently building an extension that will include a dedicated classroom for primary school-age children. Like healthy children, the children will have the experience of going from their living space to "school". This enhances concentration and promotes their mental and physical development.

Arche also provides support to parents, who receive nursing training, train for emergencies and are assisted with matters of social law.
