Catch-up classes in Internet and cellphone use Members of the Club in Nagold are learning to take control of new media.

Daimler ProCent is pleased to support the training for the senior citizens at the Mohren Club with a 2100 euro donation to cover the purchase of a computer and color printer.

For some people Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V or Ctrl + A are simply familiar keyboard combinations they use every day on their PC or laptop. To others it's all just gobbledygook. Add Ctrl + X to the mix and they may just feel they've lost control altogether.

To help local old-timers keep up to speed with their grandkids, the "Mohren e.V. Nagold" senior citizens' club is offering catch-up classes in Internet and cellphone use. The lessons are aimed at helping the older generation become more confident in their use of computers and smartphones as they come together to learn how to master the new media. By the end of the course no one will feel they have lost control any more.

The Mohren club members meet two times a week at their clubroom in the former Mohren Restaurant in Nagold. They go on coach excursions and theater trips together or listen to various presentations on topics such as pension plans and political issues affecting the elderly. Their program also includes craft sessions, games afternoons, woodworking and group lunches.
